While we had decided to meet some friends at Eastern Market in downtown DC, we heard that there was going to be an anti-war protest at the White House and I thought it would be a great opportunity for some photos. I took some photos today on my walk home from the metro and I decided to capture the grungy feeling of the walk – dirty snow banks still lingering around, cloudy day, train tracks, and a power plant billowing smoke, etc.. I also got really grungy with the editing which was fun.

Seriously, we got another 10 inches or so today and according to the National Weather Service, we had “blizzard conditions” and were told that going outside could be fatal.
