The lone sailor.

The lone sailor.

My dad wanted me to get a few shots of this statue for him so here’s one of the better ones:

Yeah, they’re real.

Yeah, they're real.

Lindsey and I hit up the National Archives yesterday and I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots of the founding documents.  Keep in mind that there was no flash photography allowed so I was shooting wide open which accounts for the complete lack of depth of field in these shots.

A paler shade of Fall

A paler shade of Fall

Today I went to the park where I run quite often and where I often see a family of deer in hopes of capturing them with my camera.  Unfortunately I did not see any deer and it was a pretty ugly day.  What was interesting was that in this specific area, many of the trees [...]

Vietnam War Memorial

Vietnam War Memorial

Not too long ago I spent some time photographing the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. as well as the people visiting the memorial. Here are some of my favorite shots:

Great Falls = Great Times.

Great Falls = Great Times.

Lindsey and I simply could not sit inside on such a beautiful day so we went back to visit Great Falls Park.  It was pretty stellar.  We hit up both the Virginia and Maryland sides of the park and in addition to hiking the Billy Goat Trail we visited both of the falls overlooks.  We [...]

Day 4 = Awesome

Day 4 = Awesome

So, today was the fourth day of my photo-a-day project and I was offered a job which is pretty much the best thing that could have happened (aside from discovering a super/mutant power like the ability to change the color of any object with my mind).  So my photo today was going to be a [...]

I was better today; I was more conventional today.

I was better today; I was more conventional today.

I was caught off guard today when, at a job interview, I was both praised for my photography website and labeled an iconoclast (which is probably pretty accurate) for my recent “Jesus cuts his apples with a lightsaber” photo.  I was both amused and mortified.  Fortunately, my interviewer was not offended and seemed to have [...]

Just goofing around.

Just goofing around.

While these two photos are of almost no artistic value, I couldn’t help utilizing my Jesus with a lightsaber for at least one photo of the day:

Photo-a-day.

Photo-a-day.

So, over the past year or so I’ve seen many photo-a-day blogs/photographer websites and I’ve decided to try it out as a means of both publishing more to my website/blog and forcing myself to shoot more.  This will also require me to keep a camera handy at all times and I’m still trying to figure [...]

Charles Franklin

Charles Franklin

I recently answered a Craigslist ad of a local artist seeking a photographer to do some shots of him for a book he’s working on.  It was an unpaid gig, though in exchange for my services I will get my name in the book and he will be giving me a custom piece of art [...]

New Blog/Site

So, I’ve changed my mind again and I’ve decided to combine my website and blog; it was just too much trouble keeping up with them both.  The blog was generic and ugly while the website/portfolio was frustrating to maintain so I’ve decided to showcase my work here in blog format.  If you are seeking the [...]

Christmas time.

Christmas time.

I was lucky enough to spend most of December with my family which was very relaxing.  I took quite a few photos and though most of them are rather boring, here are a few of my favorites from the holidays: Mom meticulously putting up Christmas Decorations More dogs. Sunny

Kentucky

I can’t help but miss my home state of Kentucky so I’ve decided to post some of my favorite images of the Commonwealth.  Enjoy.
